Four stats, and what they get you Your artist

Your artist has four stats. Cards raise them, and which ones you raise is the closest thing here to choosing what kind of artist you are.

The three that pay

  • Star Power is the charts. The higher it is, the more your released songs earn while they are charting.
  • Performance is the stage. The higher it is, the more your live shows pay, whether or not you have a hit right now.
  • Influence is attention. The higher it is, the more your promo work pays and the faster your following grows. Slowest to start, hardest to stop.

Three stats, three places the money comes from

And the one that multiplies

Uniqueness earns nothing by itself. It makes every song you write worth more, which quietly improves whichever of the other three you lean on. Most of it comes from gear.

Why leaning one way helps

Cards pull in a direction. When most of yours pull the same way, the hands you draw are hands you can do something with. When they pull four ways at once you get a bit of everything, and a bit of everything makes an unremarkable song.
