Radio and airplay
What happens when a stranger hears your song.
Your songs can be sung, in a voice you chose. When one comes out the way you hoped, you can put it on the air, and it goes into rotation with everybody else’s on the radio that plays here and in the game.
Then it is out of your hands, which is the best part. Somebody who has never heard of you presses play in a kitchen somewhere, and the game notices.
A real listen is worth money
Stay-to-the-end listens are counted, and every Payday the artists who drew them get paid for it. Not points, and not a badge: money, in the same envelope as your sales and your shows.
Which is why the link matters
Every song you put on the air gets its own page, with its cover, its words and the clip. Send it to anybody. They do not need the game, they do not need an account, and the play still counts. This is the one part of a career here that reaches outside the game.
Where you will see it
- Your Payday report, on its own line: what airplay paid you this week.
- Your song, as the number of people who actually heard it.
- The station, where a song people keep playing comes round more often.
